I'm Ready

I'm so ready for my Christmas/New Year Interruption! I'm starting to want some different foods :0). Now this could be due to me keeping my P2 menu so simple for the last 18 days and now my taste buds are looking forward to something different. Or just because I want to eat a BIG JUICY STEAK and know it's right around the corner! Only 5 days away...I already have a Ribeye in the freezer which will be breakfast Wednesday morning....YUMMY!
Now, don't get the wrong idea. No, I'm not hungry or hitting immunity. This protocol is GREAT that way. I think since this last week has been tough on me with the tooth and all...I'm just real excited for this break. I will be staying within the P3 guidelines, well that's my plan at least :0).

Sunday will be my LDW for my Christmas/New Year interruption I may be into the 126's by then!

Rules for taking an Interruption per P&I

Interruptions of Treatment:

If an interruption of treatment lasting more than four days is necessary, the patient must increase his diet to at least 800 calories by adding meat, eggs, cheese, and milk to his diet after the third day, as otherwise he will find himself so hungry and weak that he is unable to go about his usual occupation. If the interval lasts less than two weeks the patient can directly resume injections and the 500-calorie diet, but if the interruption lasts longer he must again eat normally until he has had his third injection.
When a patient knows beforehand that he will have to travel and be absent for more than four days, it is always better to stop injections three days before he is due to leave so that he can have the three days of strict dieting which are necessary after the last injection at home. This saves him from the almost impossible task of having to arrange the 500 calorie diet while en route, and he can thus enjoy a much greater dietary freedom from the day of his departure. Interruptions occurring before 20 effective injections have been given are most undesirable, because with less than that number of injections some weight is liable to be regained. After the 20th injection an unavoidable interruption is merely a loss of time.

Wednesday, December 16th 2009 Weigh In

No loss today. It's day 3 at 127.4. I didn't drink enough water yestauday, had tooth pulled and still on meds. I also started TOM this morning. So I was expecting no loss today.
All's good I am looking forward to my Christmas/New Years Interruption.

P3/P4 Cheesecake

Tracy at LCF shared these Cheesecake recipe ideas! I will try them when I get to P3. Warning: Some of the mix in ideas are not P3 unless you modify with SF items! I have suggested a few ideas

The funny thing about my cheesecake recipe is it is the exact same recipe as the CC Muffins. I use the Philadelphia Cream Cheese recipe that I got years ago.

2 8 oz cream cheese
1/2 cup sugar (use xylitol to make this P3 okay)
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1 graham cracker crust (go crustless or make a nut type crust to make this P3 okay)

For caramel toffee, I use the little balls of caramel (or Russel Stovers SF Caramel balls for P3). If you can't find the little balls (chocolate chip size), I wil caramel ice cream topping (SF for P3). I use the heath bits of toffee (u can sub SF toffee pieces for P3). Sometimes I can't find just the plain toffe bits and have to use the ones that include the chocolate. I add 1/2 cup of each to the cheesecake. If using the ice cream topping, just add the toffee. Pour into crust and dollop the ice cream topping and then swirl. Bake in a 350 oven for 40 minutes. I used to wait until it was set, but I found lately that if I take them out at exactly 40 minutes they are done and really creamy.

For raspberry chocolate chip, I put in 1/2 cup chocolate chips (SF if P3). Pour into crust. Dollop on 100% fruit raspberry jam and swirl(SF jam if P3). Can use whatever flavor of jam that you want. Bake the same as above.

I've also used crushed candy cane for peppermint chocolate chip.

To make things not so sugary you can use the sugar-free chocolate chips. If you go with the caramel ice cream topping you could use sugar-free, but I have not tested that yet. To cut down on sugar that is why I use the 100% fruit jam too.

The possibilities are endless, I just need some new ideas for flavors.

Can't use a straw so it's hard.

Tuesday, December 15th 2009 Weigh In

Well no weight loss news to report today. I'm still at 127.4 I'm not surprised because 1. I'm close to goal 2. I've been taking my pain pills & still on antibiotics 3. TOM is lurking but still a no show 4. the lobster I ate yestaurday was packed in Sea Salt water. I'm okay with no loss and very happy that I haven't gained with all that's going on in my body right now! My infection is a bad one and my body is busy fighting that right now.

I know I won't make goal of 120 by Sunday. Which will be my LDW for my Christmas Interruption. I'm okay with that. I will go back on protocol Jan. 2nd or 3rd and should make goal before I have to go to P3 not later then Jan. 29th so that I'm well into P4 by my birthday :-). That's my plan!!

Saturday was a Whaaa Whooo day another .6 gone and never to return! I am now at 127.8...Love'n It!

Sunday I was still at 127.8 No loss or Gain. I think I know some factors in no loss. I did't sleep well that night cause my mouth was hurting. I am still on antibotics, pain meds.(which I had to take more of) and I was running errands all day. A little TMI: Bernice hasn't visited in a few days. I started taking Natural Calm again today.
